ABOUT ME

Hi there! My name is Rachel and I am the founder of Sun Daze Social, a small social media management and marketing company.

A little bit about me; I love to travel, meet people, experience diverse cultures, and try new things. I grew up in Northwestern Michigan, (or as locals, we say the pinky,) where I spent my summers at the beach and my winters reading or creating something new in my kitchen. In my free time, you might find me strolling along Lake Michigan looking for colorful rocks with 3 year old doggo, Charlie Bear. I love to hike, solve puzzles, garden, and practice yoga.

In the past five years, I’ve lived in a few places besides Michigan, including Melbourne Australia and Guanacaste Costa Rica. Within this time, I also spent a handful of months backpacking through Italy, Bali, and Thailand — all while employed and slowly, yet steadily, pursuing my Bachelor’s Degree online from Grand Valley State University. My major is in Integrative Studies with an emphasis on Intercultural Communication — pairing well with my love for expanding my knowledge, immersing myself into culturally diverse places, and creating lifelong connections around the world.

On June 1st 2023, Sun Daze Social was created with the goal of helping small businesses thrive by creating custom content, improving brand visibility, and maintaining a consistent online presence while utilizing social media platforms. With my diverse background and 3+ years of experience in social media management and marketing, I am excited to put my skills and creativity into action through assisting my community and small-scale businesses flourish.
